Smile New to us Jayco (2005 29Y Jayco)

Hello

We just bought a used TT 2005 Jayco Jay Feather 29Y Bunkhouse. We have never owned so much as a pop up camper so all this is new to us . I've been playing with the idea of buying a RV for awhile now, we have three boys( 15,6,4 yrs old) and thought that it would give us more opportunities to go traveling with them saving on food and hotel expenses. I think what pushed me forward with this notion is that my oldest is 15 yrs old and it will not be long before he goes off to college. I see tailgating with the Jayco in my near future. We are planing a short weekend trip soon so my husband can get adjusted to pulling and setting up the TT. Any suggestions or tips ?

Just get out there and go camping. Welcome to the forum!! It is easiest to develop a system to set up. Park trailer, make sure trailer is level, chock wheels, unhook trailer, lower stabilizers, push out slides and awning. Plug in power, hook up water then turn on appliances. Teach kids to get your favourite beverage because you worked so hard setting up. When it is time to go reverse order.

Welcome to JOF, Hitch2006. You got the TT for all the right reasons. Enjoy it. Glad you are a part of our forum. Post often. You will find out soon enough, but those boys are going to love camping.
