New to us Jayco Jay Feather 23B Lexington SC

We sold our Lance truck camper and purchased a very little used 2008 23 B hybrid. We took it on a one night shake down last weekend to Lake Murray SC. Boy it is nice to have room to move around. Only problems found were with the bunk doors. The cheap T handle wrench has rounded the latches off to where it is very difficult to open or close the latches. Also the rear seal is leaking. I read on RV.net that Jayco has had problems with the seals on the 2008 23 B. Does any one know where I can purchase latches and seals? I have not been able to find parts online. I prefer doing my own work.

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum TBone54! Congrats on the "new" tt! On our tour of the Jayco factory, we learned that Jayco can still supply parts from any of their products ever made. Call them directly and let them know what you need. 800 283-8267

Welcome to the forum TBone54 and congrats on your 2008 23 B hybrid. We had a hybrid years back, sure is nice towing a unit and opening it up for more space when you arrive at your destination.

Repair update. The recessed square post latches are made for Hoffman electrical panels. I ordered the inserts. I got the slotted inserts instead of the square post. Very easy to replace. The camper is in the shop getting the front and rear door seals replaced. They are putting in the Forest River square seals for a cost of 500.00. Hope this stops the leaking. If it does not stop the leaks I will trade this Jayco and take the loss. And it will not be for another Jayco.

Angry repair update

Seals have been replaced but doors still leak. Dealer is working with Jayco to figure out a fix. If Jayco wants more money I will not do the repair and trade the camper at a loss.

Sorry for your troubles. Some Hybrids, especially some of the earlier ones from various manufacturers have had problems with the bunk doors sealing properly and leaking issues.

Picked the camper up today and drove 45 miles home in the rain with no leaks. Lesters Rv in Newberry SC worked with Jayco to hopefully put a end to this problem. Jayco provided free of charge the new improved seals. Lesters did an outstanding job on the install.

Tbone, that is good to hear. Jayco seems to take care of their customers.
