New TT owner checking in

I grew up camping and boating. Been boating my entire life, I live on the water and have a boat docked out back. But now another toy, just pulled the trigger on a 2016 Jay Feather 25BH.

I remember growing camping in my parents Layton, it was about 32'. Couple weeks ago I took the wife and son (6 years old) to Fort Wilderness, stayed in a cabin. But cruising the camp ground in the golf cart brought back all kinds of memories. I want my son to have the same experience and memories.

So today we went to the local RV dealer and bought it. Just waiting on the paperwork to finalize. Should bring it home by next Saturday.

Make sure you get a good wdh with integrated sway control. The Reese Dual Cam, Reese SC, and the Equal-I-Zer 4 way system are very good models. When making tight turns the side mounted sway bars should be removed to prevent damaging them while a wdh with integrated sway control you can make tight turns without issue of the need to remove the wd bars.

Once the rig is loaded, you may need to readjust the wdh. The dealer is only setting up the system to an empty trailer. If you need, follow the links in my signature for a ton of wdh info!

Enjoy the new rig!!!

Thanks. Here is my tow rig. Also a picture of my boat. This truck tows like beast, 6.2 liter and all wheel drive. Self leveling when I drop the weight f that boat on it, the boat and trailer weighs in at 14,000 lbs. I only tow it short distances and only a couple times a year.

I will be getting the weight dist hitch for the camper so I don't have constant stress on the truck leveling system.
