Smile Newbie from AZ - Jayco Jayflight 29BHS

Hello! My girlfriend and I just bought our first travel trailer, a 2007 Jayco Jayflight 29BHS. Had a RV tech/friend do a full inspection and testing of all components and mechanicals and it passed with flying colors.

A few days later we packed it up, went north to get out of the Phoenix heat and landed at Point of Rocks RV campground in beautiful Prescott AZ. 20 degrees cooler, and a 9 day trip proved to get us hooked on the RVing/camping life. We bought this obviously used, but in perfect condition as the previous owner only used it a couple times. The interior looks and smells brand new. It was well cared for. Luckily the PO included an Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch with 8k round bars. I'm towing it with my 2004 Chevy 2500HD monster truck, which is lifted 6" and has 37" tires, so I bought a 7" shank to get it to the right height. Also bought the Reese proportional brake controller off of Amazon and the Tekonsha wiring adapter. Took 15 minutes to install. Spent probably 100 hours researching/learning/YouTubing so far. I want to know as much as possible.

Was a breeze to tow, and I'm learning the newbie mistakes already. Like don't forget to raise the stabilizers before hitching up. Using my power drill to raise/lower them with a standard socket was the best advise the PO had for me.

Would love to see the original spec sheet that came with it for standard and options (PO claims it's got the upgraded A/C but who knows).

Open to ALL advise from experienced users/travelers. We're planning a full month camping in a couple months. Really LOVE the layout of this trailer and the quality seems to be there!

We're thinking of remodeling it to our design liking but otherwise it's just perfect so far. So fun!

Thanks in advance for any advise!!!

Welcome from New York State, and congrats on the great find.
Take a pad and pencil, and jot down anything you think of, like things left at home, things you would like to do/change/upgrade/leave at home, etc.
