We purchased a new 2017 Jayfeather 23RBM in November after falling in love with one our friends bought in 2016. We have most recently been truck camping with an 8 1/2 week trip to the inside Passage of Alaska in 2016, a couple weeks in Big Bend in 2017 and an ill fated trip to Nova Scotia in August of 2017 that was interrupted by Hurricane Harvey when the eye went dead center over our home while we were in Quebec heading north. We did continue to Nova Scotia but there was no way to concentrate on having fun after that and we just turned around and broke our no Interstate Highway rule and programmed the gps for the fastest route back to Rockport. Our house suffered minimal damage but we were happy to have the truck camper to live in until the power and water was restored. Now the truck camper is sold to another couple who plan to take it to Alaska and we are looking forward to the elbow room in the new travel trailer. I am outfitting it with 170 watts of solar power and an extra battery since we enjoy boondocking and after an annual trip to Bandera in spring we will head to SE Utah in fall. We look forward to seeing some of you along the way.
...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!
Congratulations on your new 23RBM and welcome to the forum! Glad to hear your house did not sustain any major damage. Sounds like you have some great trips ahead. Happy camping!
