Cool Newbie in California

Hello All!

I stumbled across this forum looking for some repair information for my recently purchased Jay Flight 195RB. We purchased the trailer late last year and have had a great time with it so far. The trailer is currently making its first trip to the shop for a cracked bed beam (a common problem from what I've seen so far here), a broken shelf in the closet, and a leaky gray water tank valve. Other than that, we've really been having fun!

I've camped my whole life in tents as well as a motor home when I was a kid, but my wife's camping experience is rather limited. Getting her to go tent camping with me was a tough sell, but now with the trailer we are both enthusiastic to camp! While I have a little bit of experience with RVing from my parent's motorhome growing up, this is the first one we've owned and I'm having to learn or re-learn a lot of the basics, so I'm excited to have a place to learn from others' experiences.

Happy Camping!

Great to hear from another 195rb-er. I saw posts re the bed and reinforced it before we went out for two weeks. Glad I did. Also went under it and found holes that I sealed up with caulk and screen wire to prevent mice, suggest you do too.

See you at camp somewhere!
