Newbies from Georgia

Hi, All! My husband and I are relatively new to rving and purchased a 2015 Eagle Premier fifth wheel last August that we enjoy so much that we think we will try full timing in 2017. We've got lots to figure out, yet, but look forward it.

Welcome to the JOF.

Hope you get full timing figured out! There are many of us here that look forward to full timing someday.

Hi newbies. We all were one of those once. I probably only live a half mile from you guys. Hope you enjoy that new rig. I have been camping for over 40 years and it is a wonderful way to enjoy this beautiful country. Our camping club will be camping over at Cotton Hill Corps Of Engineers Campground all next week. We leave to go Sunday but several of our members are all ready there. We are all retirees who love to sight see and play games. Card games, board games, outdoor games, cookouts, fishing, hiking and sightseeing. My wife and I just bought a Jaco Eagle 33.5RETS in 2014 and absolutely love it. This is my 3rd Jayco unit and I would not buy anything else. I'm sure you will love yours and if you have any problems at all, this forum will probably have an answer for you. Great group of folks on here.
We live in Vienna, just north of Cordele off GA HWY 27, so we aren't too far apart. If you might like to try out the club camping, I'm president of the Flint River Sams Camping Club which is a Georgia Good Sam Chapter. I would be delighted to answer any questions you might have and would like you to invite you to join us on a trip sometime. June we go to the Flint River Campground in Bainbridge, July is the KOA outside Savannah, October is Riverbend Campground in Hiawassee, and November, the wife and I are hosting a campout at Carrabelle Beach RV resort in the panhandle. Lot of info for you to digest, but just wanted to welcome you to the forum and invite you to our club. If you would like to chat about any of this, just give me a call.

Thank you! We appreciate the welcome. We're a little south of Vienna. Actually, just a hair Southwest of Sylvester. We're leaving Monday with some friends and family for Hardridge Creek COE on the Alabama side across from Cottonhill. We love it there. We've driven through Cottonhill but not stayed there. We have friends who go there, though. I'll pass this info to the husband. Arlene

Hey Arlene, if you drive through cotton hill, come around to Marina Way and look for the Flint River Sams banner. I'm driving a Ram 2500 with a viet nam tag on the front and a NAM-USMC Georgia license plate. Hard to miss! LOL

No, we had an older Pilgrim TT for several years. We wanted to get more involved with it and found the floorplan we liked so just bit the bullet and jumped into it.
