Talking Newby from St. Louis Mo

This is my first pup but I've been scoping this site out for a while. My wife and I just bought a new 2012 1007 pup. I have camped most of my life in a tent with Boy Scouts and floats trips but now I'm getting to old (ill be 30 in march) to just roll off the ground like I used to. Tow vehicle is a 2011 jeep wrangler unlimited. Have a couple of kids DS 7 DD 1 and D? joining us in September. I hope to gain wisdom from you guys and share what little I have.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! Glad you officially became a JOF member. I hate to break it to you but, 30 is not old. It gets much worse! Just kidding!

As they say, getting old is not for sissies. You think gravity is getting stronger and distance to the ground is getting longer at 30 - just wait 'till you're 60. Enjoy your youth while you still can !

I'm a fairly new member here also and an ex-"Kirkwoodian" but still a Cardinal fan. Hopefully, you didn't migrate to STL from Chicago .

Greetings!
I am also an almost 50 year old ASM, and still able to survive Klondikes!
We are going to be passing through your neighborhood in early April. My two boys, ages 11 and 13 and I will be pulling the trailer into St. Louis. After picking up the DW at the airport. We want to sight see for a day or so, then continue on down Rt.66 to the Grand Canyon. Any advice on where to camp or what to do in the St. Louis area? Any advice on what would be especially interesting to Scouts?
I can return the favor if you are ever heading out to Niagara Falls!
Have fun, and enjoy your new trailer!
