Old Guy, New Jayco Owner

That's a new owner of a Jayco. We bought a lightly used 06 Greyhawk 31SS. I've been a member of numerous RV forums for many years. I didn't realize that this forum exists. I stumbled on it in another RV web site. I learned a huge amount of great information on the other forums when I decided to move up from a pop-up camper to a travel trailer. After a few years, we sold the trailer because we just couldn't seem to find time to use it enough. After a couple of years, I missed the RV life and bought a pretty nice Coleman pop-up. I always wanted a motorhome and kept putting it off. Finally, last summer, I decided to start some serious looking. From the start, I limited the brands to Jayco and Winnebago/Itasca and looked all over the south via the internet and considered several. Then, the one we bought was available just south of Memphis, our former home of 40 years. We visit the area often due to doctor appointments and our children and grandchildren. We took a look and made the offer that day. So, now we are the proud owners of our dream. We got our stuff moved into it last week and when the weather improves a little, we'll take a short shakedown trip to a nearby campground. I've discovered a couple of issues that need to be addressed, but everything works. I can say this, there are a lot more systems to worry about than we had on our Sunnybrook.

Congratulations, very exciting I am sure.
I always dreamed of a MH, but probably won't happen.

Enjoy and safe travels.
