Smile pringram: New member from Seattle

Hello!
I am Patrick Ingram. My wife is Mary. We have been camping and Rv'ng for many years. We recently purchased a 2008 Greyhawk 31SS in November of 2010.
Needless to say the maiden voyage to Chandler was a tough learning experience (plugged up toilet, blown fuses, and difficult driving). I think I have solved most of the current learning problems and look forward to starting on our trek.

We will retire and move from Seattle to Chandler, AZ by March 2012. We then plan a 3 month RV tour of the south and east coast.

We look forward to staying at military installations and in the state and national forest camp grounds.

As a retired contractor I will be enjoying looking at the different construction methods used throughout America.

My wife is a retired nurse so we should be able to stay pretty safe on the open road.

Welcome from Tucson. Now that those learning problems may be over it is time to get to some good fun. Later Ernie

Welcome Patrick and Mary and congrats on the new camper. We made the southern trek a couple of years ago while heading to New York for a family reunion. I also like to stay in state and national parks along the way. I feel it gives a flavor of what each state or region has to offer. We traveled I10 from AZ most of the way we did take a detour to the gulf just to so my daughter could see the Gulf of Mexico, but this was just after hurricane season so things were still a mess. One of our favorite state parks while traveling was Lake Hartwell, Fair Play, SC. It was on the lake beautiful park and had large sites and very clean. We wished we could have stayed for a few days. We will be taking the southern route again in a few years to go to FL and do some site seeing there. Enjoy your planning and trips and welcome to AZ.
