Proud new owner of a 264BHW - Ideas for mods?

Hello everyone! This is my 2nd Jayco TT but my 3rd trailer. The first one was a forest river product. Jayco Rules! The quality is second to none. I bought (ordered) the trailer new and I'm storing it for just a few more weeks at the dealership. I can't wait to get in and make a few mods! Here are some ideas for others or if someone else has any cool ideas for me I would appreciate it thanks! Here's what I'm planning

Mount the TV from my last jayco over dinette
Camco stove top cover for more counter space
Coat hooks in master bedroom and between upper bunk and bath door
towel racks - one in bathroom and small one more near bath sink
small stackable storage in bath - to hold roll of TP etc.
Pillow top for mattress
shoe bags to hang in master bedroom at the foot of the bed (I got this idea from another thread on this forum Great idea)
folding shelf to add more counter space
small handle to pull screen door closed.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm off to a good start.
We have a shorter season here in upstate NY so we enjoy it when we can!

Welcome and congrats on the new rig!!!

As for mods, sounds like you have a list for a good start. Maybe check my signature link to see what I have done so far. Maybe some will work for you. One of the mods on my list to do this summer is the shoe rack set up mounted to the bottom of the stairs frame. It's posted in one of the mods thread, BigJohn's I think....

Are you able to keep the tt at your house, plugged in? If not (or you don't want to keep the rig plugged in all the time), seriously consider a switch to disconnect the battery between trips. Otherwise the co/propane detector and other electronics will kill a battery in no time.

Good luck!!!

Thanks for the reply. My railer will be plugged in all the time. When I bought it and did the demo, I took the battery out and brought it home. It's in my garage with my other batteries and gets charges every few weeks. I'll check out your link for more cool ideas

Here's a few. Some may fit, others may just give you an idea or two.

Picked up my new unit and have done most of my mods. I have a couple of problems with the trailer. You always have a loose piece of molding or something to be fixed. I can't shut my heat off. I backed out the screw on the Tstat so it won't come on. I also have No Power from the battery coming into the camper. I have 12v when plugged into shore power but noghint from the battery. The 30A fuse is good where the power ceoms in from the battery Any ideas? I would rather fix something myself than have the RV place come out

New 264BHW owner here too. First things first. I am trying to figure out a road-worthy way to mount a small place where my beloved coffee maker can be housed. Counter space is a bit limited but I think a tiny add-on to the overhead cabinets where my coffee machine may live, is probably in the offing.

You're right counter space is very limited. When I travel I put my coffee make inside my empty garbage can under the sink. When I get setup it's on the counter to the right of the sink. If you haven't gotten one already you might want a stove cover. I have a folding Camco black stove cover that folds out of the way when I need the stove (which isn't often) most of the time I use that space as extra counter space. The black Camco stove cover screws to the counter behind the stove top and looks like it's part of the stove. Perfect fit
