Redhawk Owner in Dispair

Hello Community!

Very happy to have found you.

I'm Owner of a new 2021 Jayco Redhawk 24 with wide slide-out which won't come out!😲

The front part seems to come out but the rear part won't. In other words, the slide-out comes out crooked!

So, 2 questions:

Obvious one, any idea of the problem or possible problems?

A sub-question, any solution to offer?

Second question: any tips on how to deal with Insurer for the warranty (I bought the full package!)?

Help!

Owner squized!

If it's a slide that has tracks on the sides with motors in the wall there is a resync procedure. If you Google "Schwintek Slide resync" you will find the procedure. I don't have that type of slide so I am not familiar. Maybe someone else will be able to post a step by step for you.

Thanks for your reply! Not being handy man, located in remote country, plus no toi le around, I won't try to repair myself, but big thanks anyway!

Warranty claim from Dealer or Jayco, is it an easy process or long and ardeous?

90% of the time depends on the dealer.

Syncing the slide isn't hard, you can do it.

Run the slide fully out. Then bring it in about 10 inches. Then back out fully. Repeat this 3 or 4 times and it'll retime.

Our slide-out won't come out, we are out in the Country calling Jayco Dealers nearby to get it fixed, but they seem reluctant, saying 《you will pay the bill and cet reimbursed by the dealership where you bought it》😲

Should I call Jayco first, or the Dealer who sold us in May this year our Jayco Redhawk?

In the future, when you extend the slide...hold the button for about 5-8 seconds longer. That'll make the system recognize zero.

Thanks for your reply but the slide-out doesn't come out from the back, only the front kitchen part seems to open. So, the slide-out comes out crooked, I really hesitate to run it further and damage it more!

Yep! We have a wide slide-out from front dinning area to room at the back, almost 12 feet long!

It comes out crooked!

Can you get sight of each motor? Maybe a bolt came out or sheared.

Thanks for your suggested approach. We had a VR mechanic took a look and checked wiring and electricity! All seems working including the motors but yes something seems to block slide-out from getting out from the back.

Could very well je that synchro système others have talk about!

Sounds like it needs to be synced.

Yep! I think so too!

Hopefully we will find a Jayco Dealer who will fix it!

Have a nice week-end everyone!

Thanks! Not yet! Being away in remote country doesn't help!
But we are enjoying the nature and looking at whales in the St. Lawrence River!
