John or Marcy, Can you recommend an RV park near Summerlin? We have a daughter who lives there. We will be there often!

Unfortunately, there are virtually no RV parks on the west side of the Las Vegas valley. There are a number of them down near the strip and along Interstate 15. However, if you don't mind an hour drive to Summerlin you can check out Canyon Trail RV Park (Canyon Trail RV Park - Boulder City Nevada) or Lake Mead RV Village(https://www.nps.gov/lake/planyourvis...nglakemead.htm).

Just a note that has nothing to do with this thread but one of my favorite comedy personalities George Carlin once said, and this is not a direct quote, "Why do people always say "Selling like hot cakes" ? All restaraunts sell lots more eggs than hot cakes. Shouldn't we say " Selling like eggs ?" Sorry, just had to post it.

Thank you! An hour away is a lot closer than Florida! I will definitely check those out! If we decide to stay near the strip or I-15 are there any that you recommend? It really doesn't take her anytime to get to the strip.
Have you ever driven I-15 between Salt Lake & Las Vegas? I'm wondering if it's safe to pull a trailer? We drove in a vehicle once and I just remember it being very curvy & close to mtns. We have daughters in both of those places which is part of the reason we decided to become RV'ers!

The first year we started RVing, we drove north on the I-15 until we hit the I-70 and headed east to Denver. It's a nice drive on an interstate highway and we didn't have any issues pulling our TT.

You are probably thinking of the Virgin River Gorge area where I-15 cuts through the very northwestern tip of Arizona. It's a relatively short stretch but you do wind around a bit within the canyons. We've been through this stretch several times over the last 3 seasons with the trailer and never had any issues. As always, watch your speed and drive defensively and you'll be fine.
