I would suggest you look at a 1 Ton truck. When we got our Jayco I had to upgrade from a 3/4 ton to a 1 ton because the 3/4 ton truck would have been overloaded in the GVWR and Rear GAWR.
Both are heavy trailers and with factory installed options UVW probably will be 13,000+ lbs and dry hitch weight close to or over 3,000 lbs.
A single rear wheel would be sufficient. But if you're going to use the truck for only towing and you plan to do a lot of traveling, you may want to consider a dual-rear wheel. A DRW will give you more GVWR & GAWR and better stability when towing.
I agree with TWP723, a diesel would be better.
Also, I've never heard any RVer say "I wish I had a smaller tow vehicle"
I would also recommend that you upgrade the tires. Jayco now offers Goodyear G rated tire option.
This option is definitely worth the money. If you don't upgrade, there's a high probability that you'll be purchasing 4 new tires within a year or two.
Others here can comment better on the difference between the Pinnacle 36FBTS and Northpoint 383FLFS.
Good luck and hope this was of some help.
