Soft floor

Hi, we bought our 2016 Jayco Jay Flight trailer in 2019 and Love it!
Last we noticed a soft spot under the table. Didn’t think anything about it figured maybe the last owner left the window open and floor got wet. This year we opened it up and the floor is soft all around the table. There are no visible leaks or any water marks.
Has anyone had this problem? HELP

Welcome to JOF from SW Michigan! If you don't get an answer here, be sure to repost in the appropriate thread for your unit. Not too many eyeballs in the Welcome Mat thread, but a lot more in the other threads. Happy camping!

Welcome,

I too would post this in the appropriate forum, and be sure to indicate which specific model you have. Some models may have a hwt or plumbing very near the dinette, while others will not and that will determine the areas to troubleshoot.

Since there is a window nearby, that is the first thing I would look at. Give the weather stripping and any caulking/sealants around the window unit a very good inspection. Since you say it was worse after 'opening up' I assume you mean after long sit with the water system drained, so that would lead me to check for window or roof leaks first.

You can also look for a local shop that does SealTech testing if the source isn't obvious. This involves pressurizing the RV and then spraying down with a soapy solution. Bubbles appear where air is leaking out (and water is getting in). Worth it to find obscure leaks. The Sealtech website has a locator to find a facility near you.

Good luck!
