Soon to be new owner
A new owner of a used travel trailer. The wife and I will be new to the RV world with a 2012 Jay Flight Swift SLX 185RB. I have already figured out that the owners manual doesn't give all of the answers. Looking over the forum, it appears someone will always be willing to help with newbie questions. Thanks in advance if I start to ask stupid questions.

And there are no stupid questions. If you don’t know something then it is not stupid to you. Ask away. I have only been doing this for 7 years with 3 trailers so I don’t know if all either but willing to help when I can

Congratulations on the new-to-you Jay Fight and welcome to the forum.
Because you are new to the RV world, there's lots to learn. You'll probably speed up your learning if you try the search function on this site. You're likely to find lots of information and probably stumble on answers to questions you don't even have yet.
Don't hesitate to ask if have a question. It's better and often cheaper to ask a 'stupid' question than to make a stupid mistake.

Welcome to our World ..... The wonderful world of Jayco Camping! This is a great site, especially if you are in need of any info ( don't ask tow vehicle questions .... it gets real crazy). First off, that owners manual you have is pretty well the same one they have been sticking in Jayco trailers since, well, since i bought my first Jayco Travel Trailer back in 1999. The SLX is a good line of trailers. Back in 2012, the SLX were the 7 foot wide models, riding on a smaller frame. Not a bad thing ..... thats how they keep weight down, and not everyone has a kick butt tow vehicle. They are just good, fun , basic camping vehicles, which i can just about guarantee, u are gonna love!
PS .... ask questions, we were all there once, only difference is, some of us did not have the benefit of internet to ask! Congrats and welcome

Thank you for all of the welcomes. As far as asking questions, I will if I ever actually take possession. After verbally accepting my offer, the seller has stopped communication and has not returned my phone calls. It may be because he is not in the best health. So we will see.
In the meantime, I have been reading through the forum and watching Youtube videos.
