Stopped in to introduce us

Hello
Just found this forum. We are owners of a Jayco FS36 Super C motorhome that we have not been able to use as much as we would like.
Retired from federal government as an aircraft inspector, then retired from Sheriffs Office as deputy.
Wife retired from state of Louisiana as Child Protection/ Foster care Supervisor.
We bought our new 2008 Jayco in October 2007 and have been able to take a month travel in 2008 and 2009 plus a few weekenders since.
Unfortunately, due to the sour economy, I am working again parttime as a security guard at a chemical plant here in Louisiana.
Thanks for the new forum.

Hello Leeman,

I also hope the economy turns around for you soon and for a lot of others. I thought I would drop a line, I am also retired LEO. 35 years on state system in Florida.

Jim

Sorry!
The forum mentioned is for Ham Radio Operators. I'm sure everyone is welcome but radio talk primarily is discussed there. Lots of discussion about how to install and use our radios in our RVs.
Sorry to cause confusion.

Whataya Know! My dad was a Ham operator in the days that the CB (not Ham) became the common thing.. and I still visualize his Calif plate (which was his Ham license number).... the family across the street from ours had an antenna factory to match the military! Of course that was the early 70's. My dad had the ham DDL but ultimately didn't pursue it though.

To tell ya the truth, I had no idea that anyone pursued the Ham System any longer!!!

Wow, amazing what you can learn online nowadays!

Hi Leeman, I recognize the call now. Things have slowed down on "Open Roads Radio" abit. Good group there. I was pleasently surprised when asked to assist in moderating a year or so ago. Since making a few changes, early on, to get rid of spammers, not much need for moderation. We need to set up a sked on 40 or 75 meters to chat one day soon. I primarily operate on 40 and 75. I have a brand new kw amp I've not even put in the line yet. Ham radio is a great hobby and public service. My son is also a ham and is a Deputy Sheriff. He took his General exam at 14. I got mine when I was 22.

Glad to find the Jayco Forum. I could not believe there was not one on before now. Jayco is a great product in our opinion.

Jim
