Smile Strange Things

Hey Guys,

It's the Strange family joining the Jayco camping family. We just picked up our 2011 G2 29BHS Wednesday afternoon. We are all very excited. Towed it home, (about 30 miles) tows great. Camped out in our driveway. Our 8 and 10year olds watched a movie while I started reading the owners manual.

We are heading out on a 2 week trip to Tenneesse mid July from our home in Texas. My wife is a great planner, she was done a ton of research and made lots of reservations (had to change a few as we were going to pull our pop untill then the TT came into our lives).

Our TV (i'm trying to learn the proper nominclature for the forum[still not sure what DW is]) is a 2003 Chevy Suburban with 84,000 miles.

Looking forward to reading and posting with you all.

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Ken! We like our JF G2 29bhs. We usually travel or camp alone, but occasionally take two or three of our grandkids with us. When traveling to see new places, we usually just take the older kids (the four yr old and 19 month wouldn't 'appreciate' the educational stuff we learn along the way ). When we do have the 9 and 10 yr old with us, the jack-in-jill bunk works well. The bottom bunk is shared by one child, Breezi's little bed, and laundry basket/stuff. Have a great trip to Tennesse! Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the welcome. Gotta love fellow campers.

We are kinda moving around, First two nights are in Memphis to see the King's palace and MLK museum, then on to Nashville to visit with friends for one night from there we go to Pigeon Forge. Plan to do some hiking in the Smokies, rubber raft trip, zip line, visit with Dolly at the park, ride the Zorb balls. Not sure where the relaxing part of this vacation is going to be. We also have some of my family from South Carolina meeting us there to some time together.

We are getting our new 2012 30.5 BHLT in the morning. I've been waiting all week and am so excited. We also have two boys - 12 and 9 years old. Again, we too enjoy camping in the driveway. That's likely what we'll be doing tomorrow.
Looks like our first trip will be from Birmingham to Dallas week after next.
