Thank you.

Just joined the forum. My wife and I just traded in our Jayco travel trailer that we've had for six years for a Jayco fifth wheel. Can someone tell me where to find info on the colored valves in the 6 and 1 docking port? Specifically what do the colors represent and what is actually happening when the are turned in their various directions. The owners manual and and decals tell me which way to flip them when I want to perform the different task but not what is actually happening. Hope I explained this all right.

Congratulations and Welcome!

The only place I've ever seen information on the valves is in the manual. Given the maze of hose behind the panel it would take a lot of time and patience to figure out each valve, but essentially they are changing the flow of water to perform the task they are set for. I don't think the colors mean anything, they just help make it easier to read the diagrams showing which way they need to be configured.

Thank you Rob. Appreciate the reply. The travel trailer was simple but the features on the fifth wheel are awesome.

I only remember one color. Black valve changes "City Water" to "Fresh Water Tank". My curiosity has peaked, so now I have to write the rest down, just to know! (Might be glad i did sometime). But for now, I just follow the color chart.
