Time to make the jump!

Grew up camping with my parents. Got my own family now (5 of us, including a boy and twin girls!) based out of northwestern North Carolina. They're getting big enough now to start getting serious about camping again, and we finally don't have to haul around all grades of baby stuff. Bought a pop-up last year. Used it enough to realize that it's simply not big enough for the five of us. Haven't upgraded yet but I'm 99% sure we're gonna go with a Jayco. My folks have had several through the years and I certainly trust and value their opinion. Actually going to look at a 2005 Jay Feather tomorrow. Maybe this is the one? We'll see.

I look forward to learning from y'all!

Welcome to the JOF, nevercominhome ! You live in a beautiful part of NC. My parents used to live just outside of Blowing Rock, and we enjoyed the views every time we visited. I remember the front of the house being at ground level, while the rear was 3 stories above ground.

Please post often, and include some pics of your new unit when you get it.

Well the Jay Feather we went and looked at today turned out to be a bust. Found the dreaded water damage in a cabinet and the awning was messed up. We did however look at a Jay Flight that is promising. Going to call the owner tonight and talk $$$.

Re: Time to make the jump!

Just got off the phone with the owner. We've agreed on a price. Gotta do some paperwork and a 2005 Jay Flight 27BH is ours! Happy campers

Re: Time to make the jump!

The Jay Flight is setting in our driveway! Unfortunately it's too cold and icy outside to go do anything with or to it or even begin the list of mods that I've already been dreaming about since reading the forums.
