I am curious to find what others have to say on this. Our trailer has the winter package (glacier package), but my RV experience goes back to years prior to trailers being sold with the amenities they have today and with 'winter packages'. In my experience, I have always considered and utilize my RVs in four seasons. I look at any RV as a four season rig, because I have been out in tents in the middle of winter and a trailer or motorhome with four solid walls and a hard ceiling and bathroom kitchen etc., beats a tent in freezing conditions any day.
With that said, I long ago adopted certain practices for utilizing my RVs during the coldest of temperatures (usually for hunting seasons) and though I have had a few hiccups/mistakes along the way, I learned from every one.
So when DW and I picked up our current TT, both of us were surprised to find it had a 'Glacier' package (we were not aware this type of package existed). Nevertheless, we have not changed the lessons learned practices we adopted from past experience of using RVs during winter conditions. Therefore, we can't really say whether the winter package has been worth the cost or not.
What say others?
