Unconventional Camper/Jayco Newbie

Hello all, and thanks for allowing me in the group.
I found this forum right after picking up our '23 Seismic 359 TH. I have been lurking for a while, played a few games ("drop a word, add a word", "I'm So Old..."), made a few smart a$$ comments, and learned a whole bunch from some very knowledgeable people. We are unconventional because we don't really camp in the normal way. We have spent less than 12 nights at campgrounds since 2017, but looking to change that. We have a toy hauler to support our primary hobby which is KCBS competition BBQ(think TV's "Pitmasters"), so the toys in the garage are a 2860 Outlaw Smoker and a PK grill. We started in a tent and blow up mattress in the back of my pick-up cooking in 10 events in 2017, and 23 events in 2018. At age 52, I had found my passion, but the BBQW declared she was done if I didn't get her a bedroom, bathroom and A/C for contests, so our first RV was a 2019 Prime Time Fury 3012X travel trailer TH. It served us well for 4 BBQ seasons, but last November someone offered me a deal I couldn't refuse, and I sold it. We had talked about eventually moving up to a 5er, so now we will be on city streets, fairgrounds, Music venues, race tracks, Casinos, and wherever else smoke happens in the Jayco 359. With the new rig we are hoping to get into "regular" camping a bit more too. Our last comp in the Fury was the $50,000 Smoke On The Water at Saracen Casino in Bine Bluff, AR last October where we took 14th in the rib category and 1st place in brisket. We hope to carry that momentum into our first comp in Southaven, MS in two weeks. If any Jayco Owners Forum members end up at a festival with a KCBS BBQ contest happening in IN, AR, TN, MS or KY this year, there is a good chance we will be there, so look us up and say hi. Thanks in advance for the RV education and all the advice I will invariably ask for.

All forum members with over 14,000 posts are cordially invited to a sit down BBQ dinner at any contest I am cooking, and I will not only cook the meal, but I will serve Q and adult beverages personally. Really though, one of the reasons we do it is the people we meet, Jayco Owners members would be a plus.
Thank you.
