Upgraded to TT!!

Hello all! We just upgraded to and 2018 x213 from a 1977 Bethany TeePee pop up! We are really excited to do a lot of camping this summer around Colorado and have a couple National Park trips planned as well. Bethany worked well for the Dispersed Camping we do (I guess i need to call it boondocking now, but we go deep into forest and just find a fire ring to camp around (dig a hole for bathroom kind of stuff!)) I have been going through he forum and finding a lot of hints, ideas, and things I have never had to take into account. Our first mod is going to be a 200w solar system when the weather gets warm enough. Still have the 12v battery and wondering if anyone can tell me how well that works with solar when off grid? Future plans are to change out for 2-6v bank, but use the 12v for now. Have a couple other ideas I'm going to do this summer with it too, but any suggestions on storage expansion (shelves, hanging stuff, etc.), other modifications that have been helpful to others are welcome! Still need to get it fully loaded up and driven to a scale, but hopefully soon, Moab in one month!!! I think this is going to be a very helpful forum to browse!

Bethany TeePee PUP...now that's ancient history! My first PUP, in the 1960s, was a Nimrod...

Welcome, and happy trails!

Congrats on your X213...nice upgrade. I use a 120 watt Go Power folding solar panel to back up my 3100 watt Champion Inverter Generator and use a Group 31 AGM on my trailer. I also haul along 2 - 6 volt RV batteries for longer trips.

Welcome. We loved our 213...we had it for 7 years. Kids are getting bigger now and the trips are getting longer, so the trailer needed to get bigger and longer too.

Thanks for the nice welcome! The Bethany was my grandpa's, it was a great camper, sad to out grow it! Boys getting bigger, so needed upgrade. Definitely will post pictures of mods and on site pics!
