Question Ads?

Is it my imagination or are the forums suddenly flooded with ads?

We use Google Chrome and AdBlock and don't see a one. But it currently shows 12 ads being blocked.

I use Edge and see no ads but I have a adblocker app.

I use Chrome on occasion. Ad blocker free takes care of them.

Exclamation

Be careful with AD blocking apps/software, many have the technology to do more than just block out AD's. There is a reason many are free.

Check your AD blocking settings, "permissions", and AD associated browser settings. AD blocking apps/software have the capability to accumulate 'log-in' data, browser history, etc.. Some have come out and stated they don't accumulate private data (ie; passwords, etc.), but stop short in denying having the capability to do so.

I use Chrome and no ad blocking software. I get one banner ad at the top and one sidebar ad to the right. That's all.

I think you get more ads if you are accessing as a non-registered user. At least most of the boards I frequent do this.

I used to run Ad Blockers, but found that they actually slowed my system down a lot more than just letting a couple of ads load. If a site has too much advertising, I go to another site. It's the advertisers who help keep the sites free after all. Kudos to the site admins for keeping this one reasonable.
