Annoying Ads Please Remove

To whoever runs/moderates the Forums is there a way to remove all the popup ads/spam videos etc? It is very difficult to scroll thru the forum and constantly try to close these ads. It clutters the screen and they pop up right where the user is trying to click which then takes the user somewhere else. Some cleanup is appreciated.

And/or AdBlocker Plus for your browser. Many virus software programs now come with adblockers also.

I use Tapatalk on an iPhone and yes, they’re abundant. I think that’s Tapatalk though and not the forum. Anyone know of any other mobile platform for this stuff?

On my phone, I get ads like crazy. On a home computer or laptop, nothing.

Awhile back I was getting a lot of popups on this forum and it was suggested to install Adblock Plus which is a free adblocker. Works like a champ when using Chrome. In fact it blocks a heck of a lot of ads on all Chrome pages. It has a little counter showing number of blocked popups and I have seen it show above 60 at times after loading a new Chrome page. It starts over when you access a different page.

As I type this it shows that it has blocked 5 popups after I went into this page.

Could you be a little more specific as to the device you are using? Are you using Tapatalk?

I just logged in on my Android phone and I'm not seeing anything on my end.

For those of you using Tapatalk, have you tried just using the forum through your phone browser? There is a mobile version that should appear when you log in or you could opt for the full desktop version by selecting the option on the bottom left corner of the screen. I'd be interested to hear if you are seeing the same ads when logging in outside of Tapatalk.

I quit using TapTalk due to the security risks and ads. I log in from my android phone via a browser and have no issues with the mobile version of the site.

I primarily use the browser version through my andrphone. No pop ups. Just the standard ads under the recent post list.

Ads are why it's free. Also why there are Ad-blockers for iphones and other smart phones.

At the bottom left of the forum page is an option for Mobile vs Jayco owners. Try switching between them and see if it makes any difference.
