I didn’t know where else to post this, so I posted here where you will see it.
I don’t know who the captain of the forum is, so if you could pass it along thanks.

Could something be done to make the forum have a prerequisite to include a signature, or show under their name on the side bar, to include the year and make of their trailer. Also, somehow, make existing members include their trailer info.
It’s great to ask questions here for help, and it’s great to help someone in need..but without knowing what their trailer is it makes it more challenging.
A lot of times the next message is “what trailer do you have”. Then wait for the answer.
Just simply seeing what trailer they have would perhaps garnish more accurate reply’s and generate helpful conversations, and just general conversations about a common trailer.
A lot of replies, in this situation, are so generic and some completely inaccurate, because of the “assumed” trailer they are requesting help for.

Anyway, just a thought.

FYI, the mobile platform that this forum is on strips off signatures anyway.

We go through the same loop on the boating forums...

Your question/ problem is a common complaint on forums. The signature of a user is optional and often a new user will see and want to include more info in his signature.
There are no plans to require it.

If a user uses Tapatalk, it’s hidden anyhow.

Tapatalk strips the signature, however you can click the poster's name to see their profile. Many of us list our rig model and year as well as tow vehicle make, model, and year in our profiles.
