Auto log off - way too quick

I have submitted this problem before and apparently it has resurfaced.

Automatic logoff is happening far too quickly. Like 15 minutes of inactivity. The board thinks you are inactive while creating a post.

I just attempted to make a post and by the time if finished typing it and hit the submit button the board had logged me off. Very annoying.

I run another forum by a different vendor and its configuration allows defining how many minutes till an inactivity log off occurs. I cannot imagine this board would not have the same capability.

Possibly during the owner/server switch there was a change, some other things had to be reconfigured as well. I will make admin aware of this concern.

I'll echo the annoyance....it takes time to find links, pictures and compose an informational post or response.

This always annoyed me while running Internet Explorer.
If you run Firefox, it keeps you logged in forever until you logoff manually.

FYI,
Doug

Not so. I use Firefox. It's a function of the board....not the browser.

I have the same problem now with Chrome. It could be the server recent server change last month. It shuts down the recent posts far too quickly, however, as long as I keep the little box up next to the log-in field, I'm not booted/logged off.

Crabman reported the problem to the new Admin Tech.

This has been updated - you were right it was pretty short. The server will sever your connection automatically now after an hour of inactivity. If you check the remember me box next time you log in, you will save some hassle

Mine stays up all day long right after I log-in each morning - I also have the REMEMBER ME block checked on log-in... I log-out around 10PM each night. I have RV NET and JAYCO up sitting in a TAB window to use from 6AM to 10PM . I am using FIREFOX here...
