Can’t re-set GFI Circuit
2017 Jayco Eagle 336FBOK
I was using the outdoor electrical plug at the front right side of my unit, and the toaster that was connected to it suddenly stopped operating.
I went inside and checked the electrical panel in the bathroom and saw that the GFI breaker had tripped. I reset it and still have no electricity here. I looked at the GFI plug on the side of the centre island and every time I reset it, it trips right away.
I have looked at all the GFI plugs and there’s nothing plugged into them and the breaker is still good.
Any thoughts?

If other outlets are working properly, sounds like a short in that circuit. Not sure if the two different GFIs are a single circuit or if they have two GFIs on a single circuit (strange, but not unheard of). If everything else is working fine (other outlets), you'll have to trace the wires and find the short.. I'd start with the outside outlet you were using. unscrew the outlet and pull it out or look under the chassis if you can to find the wires.

Yeah....there are other GFI outlets working in part of the unit, but several don’t in the other part.
I’m starting to think wiring also! Thanks!

I would recommend replacing the GFCI outlet first. It may have gone bad

Those outlets they use have stick on sleeves for the wires, one might have come loose.
They are daisy changed together. Check the GFI reset outlet first then each outlet after that (start with the closest one).

Before replacing the GFCI I would disconnect the outlets after it, and see if you can reset it. If you can, than the GFCI most likely is not the issue. Trace the circuit and after re connecting the outlets, working from furthest away, disconnect each outlet, checking to see if you can re set it. At least you can isolate where the issue is. There would not be two GFCI on the same circuit. Every outlet after the GFCI will be protected by that one GFCI.
Good Luck.

Normally you shouldn't have two GFCI's on the same circuit they will interfere with each other.
You could try turning off the circuit breaker for that circuit and resetting the device when it is not powered.

I have had this happen before. Just to save time, try replacing the GFCI outlet first. If that fixes it, you will save a lot of time. If not, you will have a spare for another day.
Most rv's have only one GFCI outlet and all that require that protection daisy chain off the output of it.

Check your breaker panel for a tripped breaker.

Absolutely not true. GFI's do not interfere with each other and you can have as many as code will allow on one circuit.

You can't reset a GFCI outlet with no power going to it.
