Can't change Location

Currently logged in. Go to User CP and change location, get this:

Your session has expired. Please login again.

Obviously it hasn't, recurring issue.

Many times this problem occurs because the "Remember Me" block wasn't checked when you logged in with your username and password. If you don't check it, you get logged off after a while automatically. Don't ask me why. It's always been that way and I've been a member here for almost ten years. Sorry for the inconvenience and welcome to JOF.

BTW- where in the CP were you at to change your location? I'm a little puzzled.

Maybe under "Edit Your Details" section?

If I had to guess, the most obvious would be the city, state and country in the About Me tab of his user profile. However, there are other places for "location". an IP address is a location, so is an URL for a webpage.

Did you try clicking on "User CP" on the upper left..

Then, scroll down to "Edit Your Details" in the left column? The location information is located there.

I can change the location but cannot save the changes as I get the not logged in error, when I am logged in, or I couldn't access the User CP.

I never saw a reply to my post asking as to whether you had the checked the "remember me" block when you logged on.

I just tried it. I went to 'User CP', clicked on 'Edit your Details', and added "NY" after my city, went down to the bottom of the page, and clicked on 'Save Changes', and it now appears under my Avatar.

Just wondering, do you switch between mobile log in and a computer log in? I don't know if it happens here on this software, but on another forum I'm on, if I log in from my phone, I'm not remembered on my computer, and vice versa. If I log in from my laptop, I'm no longer logged in on my phone.

Could that be happening with you?

I haven't seen any difference in usage between mobile and a computer, I don't have to relog in to either and I use them interchangeably for access. Good idea for something to check though.

Thanks for your patience. JFlightRisk is currently off camping so I've taken action on his behalf. I've reached out to our techs and asked them to change the City and State in your User Profile. I think it will be much quicker taking this route to "Git 'er done" with far less inconvenience to you.
