Chrome Update - Security Patch ASAP

Hi folks - Please update chrome at the very first opportunity if you have it installed on your PC/laptop (even if you are not regularly using chrome).

An important security update patch was released by google on Friday and action is needed.

Interestingly enough, I have been watching my desktop here at home over the past week or two and noticed that my memory utilization has been going up a lot while using Chrome which required a restart about every ~10 hours (if I leave it on). I had installed the latest update earlier today and haven't seen any unusual memory usage since then. I suspect this security issue and the update was the reason and solution for my computer's issue after reading what you shared. Thanks for sharing. ~CA

I had to do the same. Google is pushing out updates but it can take a week for everyone to get them. You can manually update to the latest version (currently 99.0.4844.84)

Just got the update a few days ago on my Brave browser, which is based on Chrome. I'm running Linux, and it was an automatic update. Not sure if Windows is different or not.
