I just don't quite get the rationale behind it. All of the other forums I participate on allow me to edit whenever I feel like it.
I'm old enough and make enough mistakes I don't even think about them when I read the forums... i too type faster than my fingers can work...LOL not an issue with me..and I assume with most folks

+1

I find myself using this all the time. I got a new keyboard recently, and my fingers aren't quite used to it yet. And it's cheaper than my old one, so the keys often register more than I wanted them to.

I just try to read my posts before I hit "submit", and I end up catching most of my errors. I have a Journalism degree, so that stuff drives me nuts.

I wanted to edit a post in the classifieds to reflect I had lowered the price. Couldn't do it. That would be a nice feature.....
