Games on the forum

Am I the only one that is grumpy about "games" on the forum. Currently on the "recent threads" on the right side of the page there are already 2 (out of 20) threads that constantly show up. Today, someone is suggesting a 3rd. I really enjoy this forum (even the people who play the games , but I come here to swap knowledge about our love of travel trailers/ 5th wheels, etc. There are other places to play games; I suggest either a limitation or outright ban.

I have developed some close friendships on this forum through the games. Some of those individuals I now communicate with outside of the forum about camping and other similar interests. I don't think that those friendships would have developed without participation in those game threads. I for one would definitely miss the game threads if they weren't available.

To ignore a specific thread:
Click on thread tools, click on ignore this thread. But you must be viewing the thread in question to do this. You will no longer see that thread under new posts.

This is one method of not being exposed to a thread f it really bothers you.

I stay away from most of them and I think a member can get a feel for ones personality by looking at them. For now, they be ignored if bothersome.

I rarely look at the Internet version of this forum (except when I need to edit a recent post or do a more thorough search). It's usually through the app Tapatalk so I'm not familar with the games mentioned here in this thread. So far, they haven't been in my way of seeking info, tips and ideas.

I never really thought about them other than to take a quick look once. They don't interest me.

I'm perfectly fine with them appearing on the forum.

What do you care if folks want to have some fun? If you don't like these games and other fun, ignore them and go tell some kids to get off your lawn.
