getting logged off (time)

Is there a way to extend time before getting logged out? I'm constantly having to log back on after a short inactive period. A pain if distracted while composing a post.

Yes. Click on the "remember me" box when logging in. It will keep you logged on.

Sometimes I'll compose a response in my E-mail program, or in another writing program, then copy and paste it into the response box. I also get logged off if the page is inactive for less than 10 minutes.

If you click on the remember me box that will not be necessary. It keeps you logged on indefinitely, until you click on log out. In fact, I rarely log out, so even days later I'm still logged on.
