Looking for help Manufacturing Date Question

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. My wife and I order a Jayco 32TSBH in December of 2017 and just went to look at it today. The manufacture date is November of 2017. How accurate is the manufacture date as I was told at the dealer that they just print a bunch off with the same date. Meaning it could have been manufactured after we ordered it but still had a prior date on it.

Odd question I know but something doesn't feel right.

Thank you! Just seems weird the sticker manufacture date is before I even ordered. One was sitting in the lot all winter and I feel like that must be the one I saw today.

I would not rule out your curiosity. While all of the badging for our Jayco has been accurate, we had a Columbia Northwest Somerset PUP that came with a vin for a completely different model. To "fix" the dereliction, CNW just made one up and sent it to us. Our unit came with several illegitimate badges (related to its manufacture date, model year, and capacities) and major assembly flaws. We always suspected that it was some kind of prototype for testing and/or a show debut. We later found out that it was in fact a 2013 that they rebadged and marketed as a 2014. In the process, they screwed up the badging. We think it was a 2013 prototype that was shown around or sat around the plant and then was sent to the dealer later that year as a 2014. CNW would never shoot straight on the build date because they had no clue, or they did not want to acknowledge its true age and history. It was a really funky lemon of a camper.
