Member Status - Junior vs Senior
I am new to the forum. When I registered I am showing up as a Junior member. I see others are Senior members. what distinguishes between the 2. I couldn't find anything within the forum that defines the rules member status.

I believe it's the post count... It has no bearing on anything as far as I know.

On the FR forum, which looks just like this, you can put whatever name you want in that section. Makes it more entertaining. Wish that option was on here.

The Signature allowances were "better" on the old forum IMHO....you could add links and access mores lines of info.
That's why I wont change my signature....I'm currently illegal - being "grandfathered" in since the forum update...but if I ever change it, I'll have to down-size my signature considerably - and drop the links.

We could make some changes... currently we have the software default for usertitles but they are customizable.
0 posts = new
30 posts = junior
100 posts = senior
Boring, imo.
If we changed these we would need about 6 levels so if you have some ideas, please post up and we'll consider.

Agree, I can't even see it on Tapatalk. IMO it is a non issue. Anyone who participates here even infrequently will be a "senior" in no time.

As I mentioned earlier, why not make it where you can change it to say what you want? Mine on the other forum says "Plain Old Member". Lets you personalize it a little. JOF is missing that one option on an identical page on the other forum.

Like this. Here's the 2 forums side by side, same section. SOB one has the options for "Custom User Title". You'll have to click on the picture to blow it up to see. This I think would be the best option.

We could do this but still need a set of default titles as many folks will never actually change  we can do both at the same time.

That would be cool. I think that's how the other one works. It has a similar set of defaults as here (junior, member, senior) depending on amount of posts.
