Multi-Quote Button?

How does the Multi-Quote button work?

I assume it is to allow a person who replies to use multiple quotes from someone's post. An example might be if a series of different questions or comments were made; a replier might want to quote each question or comment, and then make a reply under that question or comment. But I can't get the Multi-Quote button to work; what is the secret?

Muti-quote button does nothing useful. It does change its shading darker/lighter but that's it. Otherwise it's just a dead function.

Works for me to.

Are you using the right sequence "Multi quote" button for the first quotes you want and then the "quote" button for the last one.

By George, if you know how to work it it DOES work. (Old dog just learned a new trick!)

Thanks, Grumpy

Would one of the folks who knows how to work the "Multi-Quote" button explain it to me or refer me to a FAQ or tell me how to google for the information?

That is still a no go for me Grumpy, but thanks for the info. Multi pushed first - nothing. Quote pushed and get the single quote option.

Click MultiQuote on the first quote and then Quote on the second quote and both will be in your message area

What browser are you using?
Starting with the oldest post first, click multi-quote, repeat on subsequent posts and then on the last post to be quoted, click quote.

All selected posts will appear in your reply editor.

Note that the button color has been changed now so that it's a little more obvious what posts you have selected.
