Multiple page accessibility within threads

I have fat fingers and when I access a thread with multiple pages the numbers are so small that I frequently end up on a page one or two away from where I intended to go. Is it possible to change the page forward and page back symbols to the words “next” and “previous” so that there is a larger surface area to click on? I have seen this on other forums and it works much better. Just wondering. Thanks.

We have our Number of Posts to Show Per Page set at the maximum of Show 40 Posts Per Page so that we are simply scrolling more than clicking the page numbers or arrows.
The setting is found here;

We all have fat fingers and here too! On my iPhone, a swipe with a couple fingers make it big enough to control for me.
