Posting a link using Windows 10

Well I finally got a new computer and it's loaded with Windows 10 and I can't figure out how to post a link in a thread. On my old computer I'd just add it to my bookmarks, then left click on the link and drag it down to the post. I tried to Google how to do it with Windows 10 but nothing makes much sense to me. If anyone has a simple explanation on how to do it, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not totally computer illiterate, but close.

I'm not sure if this is the correct computer guru method (since I'm not one), but I copy the URL and click on the "globe and link" icon above the post box, and past it there, hit OK and it'll show on your post. It won't be blue type until after you post the reply, it'll be black type. I hope this makes some sense. It's one of those things I do, but don't think about how to explain it. Let me know if it does or doesn't work that way for you.

When you post here use the "Go Advanced" feature.

You'll have a menu bar you can use to quote, BOLD and one that looks like a globe with chainlink at the bottom.

Highlight what you want to link to in the thread like "BISCUITS ON SALE"
and then click on the globe. A new window pops up where you paste the url to the link for biscuits in sale. When you do, the LINK will be highlighted and workable.

Why don't you give it a try in your reply. You can add a url, email address, picture and so on that way.

Don't you just love how many things don't work when you are forced to upgrade operating systems?

I just recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 and have fought to get my old software to work properly. I have always hated Win 10 but am adapting now that I have got it functioning somewhat how I want it to.

I miss Win 7!
