Technical advice about posting needed.
I'm having trouble posting pictures. Every picture I've tried to post has done so upside down.
The pictures were right side up when I took them. When I down loaded them to files on my computer there were right side up. When I've shared them to other sites they are right side up. Yet here on JOF, they come out upside down.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to turn them right side up after posting them here?
Thanks.

Try saving the picture in a different format png or gif for example. I have experienced the upside down pics when posting jpeg for some reason...

I don't know the technical reason but most cameras take pics at 2mb or more these days and the forum software reduces them to our restrictions. when that is done some of them are displayed sideways.
They have to downsized before they are uploaded to correct this.
I have copied some that were this way and reduced them in size and edited the post by re-uploading. ...is that a word?, to fix them but us moderators do not have time to do them all.
If it displays different than you like it you have to reduce it and re-load to correct.

Try loading into your profile albums and then link them in post.

Well Atlee I'm in the same boat, I tried several times downsizing and then downsizing some more, but each time I tried to post, I would preview post, and sure enough the picture was upside down. I've pretty much given up, after having read all of the comments that I could find on this site, with no help righting the pictures. I don't know about any of the other options, like dropbox? or whatever and putting into a gallery? Not sure what to do but would have liked to share some of my pictures of changes made.
Never had a problem over on the Forest River Forum, but there must be a glitch, or I'm not doing it right.

I have not had a problem with posting pictures on the F150 Forum I belong to either. Posted the same pictures of the trailer over there the other day.
They came through perfectly, and from my computer.
I've given up here. Of course, I've never even tried on RV.net. That site is really antiquated. There may be a place to down load from my computer, but I didn't see it. Seems like they want pictures to be uploaded to a hosting site, and then put the IP address in the post to the site.

Test upload - wanted a reason to share the happy campers.
All I post on this forum were taken with an Android phone in landscape for reference.
