too much email from forum

I visit this forum often, and I view all new posts when I do visit, so I really don't need email to tell me someone posted something to a thread I participated in.

how can I stop this email?

every email you are sent has an unsubscribe link. Actually you need to read one to click on the unsubsribe to the thread or unsubscribe to all threads.

when I click on unsubscribe from all threads it works, but as soon as I create, or comment on something new, it starts the whole email processes again. I am asking where I can turn this email subscription all together, including NEW posts.

Lets try this one.
user CP
Settings and Options
Edit Options.

2nd section is Messaging & Notification

2nd block in this section says :

Default Thread Subscription Mode
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Thread Subscription Mode:
default is "instant email notification".
in the drop-down box, change this to "No email notification"

Click user CP (Control Panel). Under settings and options, click edit settings. Under messages and notifications, find thread subscription mode. Click the dropdown box for options.
