Don't Stay Gone Too Long

A man leaves on business every Monday morning and returns every Friday to his rural home. Making small talk with the DW he asks how things are going? They have 2 small children so through clenched teeth she says "just fine". Knowing he needs to show empathy he asks if there is anything new going on since he was home last. She says she's taken up a new hobby - raising chickens. He informs her that even in the country there are covenants and restrictions about such activity and asks to see the chickens.

She takes him out back and shows him a 6 X 6 chicken coop with 3 hens and 2 roosters. Having grown up on a farm he chuckles to himself and says, "honey you do not need 2 roosters for 3 hens.

Her response - You do if one of them travels!

Moral of the story -
Don't stay gone too long.
