The jest of the topic had a lot to do with FAQs, IMHO. I may be cornfussed and have been once in my life time. But the follow ups from here, as I have spent a couple of days wasting away on the net, read and participated in these formats was nothing more than a spoof of sorts. Those were nothing more than some form of more FAQs with new comers to the rv sport, boating forums included.

Of course I never been asked to play one the stage of any Comedy Club. But it did help with my post count so I can hopefully practice posting some trip and misc photos , even possible ones that a salesman sold someone something that did not match the vehicle. Oh well that did not work.

I don't dare fool around. My wife is an expert marksman if I fool around.

If you are keeping score, its 5 posts on this topic and 8 assorted topics, including the welcome mat section. I did not read where it was compulsory to show a regional passport or get a visitor's visa to navigate each section here.

FWIW, My humor button is full on lit daily. See my signature,, Cheers and root beers for all...

What brand tires will you have on it?

If it's a 30 amp plug will you plugging it into 50 amp service?

It could have been a real "blast" if you had consumed it all before blowing the candle out.

Google the tow rating of the RAV-4 (as equipped). Then look up the weight of your trailer.

Did that way back in '08 when we ordered the DW a new RAV4 Sport with the 4 cyl. It stated a 1000 lb limit for a 4 banger, and 3000 for the V6 version. Newer units may be different, maybe not so much.

I figure I could tow my 5X8 utility trailer with a full load of feathers....

My view is that sometimes people are new to the forum. Others may have searched but believe there may be new information. Someone also may need differening suggestions. I, along with many others on this forum, try to help when we can. For those of you whom are bothered by it, just ignore the question. Our Moderators do a fantasic job of keeping this forum positive.

Come on guys. In the spirit of the OP , if most of your seasoned members have read and followed repeated questions about tow vehicles in general on dedicated internet forums, one of the standing questions about tow vehicles has included the RAV4 in particular as a example.

New people in general have always looked at acquiring an rv, first and foremost , without a full study on their tow vehicle. The same can be said about using mini vans and many front wheel drive vehicles too, which rarely have equipment to cool their transmissions or the proper gear package in their drive trains.

My original comment was a spoof and a joke, nothing more. I have been towing all sorts of bumper pull TTs and boats, not just a bumper pull with just a ball, such as was done back when there wasn't as many people on Earth.

So many can rest easy in their evenings that I will not be looking for such a mismatched package as stated.

This just popped up this morning and makes my point. Salesman says everything is fine, even though in the real world towing in flat lands at best has potential of being harmful to downright dangerous.

I like the fresh perspectives and to hear about some of others' experiences.
If I really needed unique information, I would try various sources.

No need. I think if they just put some giant tires on the RAV 4, it'll pull just fine.

I'll check with the DW on that.

If I'm not back soon, you'll know what happened.
