Guess that would mean I couldn’t take my .22 rifle on the school bus either..

Brought it to Woodshop to re-finish my stock…no big deal.

You must be either Fred Flintstone or Barney Rubble.

I remember Supercar. There was Fireball XL5, and one with a submarine that I remember.

There were 3 old guys like us. The first guy said he wished he could have a good pee. He said all day he dribbled. The second guy said he wished he could have a good poo.All day it was a little at a time. The third guy said, I don't understand your problems. Every morning at 7 I have a great stream and a good dump. The only problem is I don't wake up until 8.

To get a snow day from school, there had to be a fresh foot on the ground, and another foot on the way.

Remember going to the corner store as there were no big grocery store and buying a pack of cigarettes for "my aunt" because we thought it sounded better than for my dad or mom. Then getting a bunch of friends and smoking the whole pack.

That ploy was also practiced in our neighborhood, but didn’t work for me because no one smoked in our house. Besides, I also was the newspaper carrier that delivered the paper to the store, so the proprietor knew me quite well.

Interestingly, every time we tried smoking (usually behind the school), we’d get through about a half-pack and we were so nauseated that we ripped the remaining ones up and burned them.

I don’t believe any of us ever became hooked.

My Phys ed teacher owned the only party store in my small town, I told him what brand I wanted, he always said " for your Dad, right?" fully well knowing he was a non-smoker. Handed over .50 cents, done deal. Nasty habit, felt like crap, never smoked again after 25. And they cost over $5 a pack today...
