Yeah I remember all those thing. In fact our landline is an old dial rotary and the stove is avocado green. Both still working fine.

The motorhomes that came with a built-in blender on the countertop.

Bias ply tires that got flat spots when they sat. Thumped down the road for 5 miles 'till they got round again.

Yes! And who remembers starting a car by pressing your right foot down on the starter button on the floorboard?

Delivering newspapers on my bicycle and getting a look-see at the first color television I'd ever seen. Wow, just wow!

I did a minor bathroom remodel on one of our houses a couple of years ago. It has the "Harvest Gold" tub, sink, and toilet. I actually chose to leave those in place. Apparently the "Retro '70's" look is popular again. The prices for those original fixtures on the secondary market is really high. That house also has a matching gold stove and dishwasher in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was replaced long ago. From what I understand, it was also part of the set.

That was me, my first real job after my paper route. Made a dollar an hour, then the minimum wage went up 10 cents to $1.10. Wow, could fill up my 56 Dodge for 5 hours work!

I sure do. Had that on my '46 Chevy P/U.

How about a choke knob on the dash. Or the art of boosting a 6 volt car with a 12 volt battery? That was a two person dance.

I'm so old, I remember when a hashtag was called a pound sign. And we played tic-tac-toe on it.

You lucky guy you! You had a brand new truck. Mine was a 37 Chevy coupe. Gotta love that three on the floor with a 2 1/2 foot shift rod. And the unsychronized transmission with that "for real" gear whine was something else. Got pretty good at double shifting and could usually hit the next gear with no grind. Was too young to have a license, but so what. The country roads were a quarter mile from house.

How about when campgrounds had no hookups and bathroom facilities consisted of just outhouses without showers and running water. Potable water was only available at water spigots placed at the street or “water stations” that were placed at very limited locations throughout the campground.

Gas was 25 cents a gallon and 15 cents on sale. Watched the first TV program that had an African American on. Saw the Oscar Myer Weiner Mobile in our grocery store parking lot. Rubbers was the names for rain boots. Seeing the first passenger jet ever to fly into SF International airport.

One of the houses we owned had no electricity or running water. The outhouse was a special treat when it was -20 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
It did have a hand crank phone. I think that area was the last in the US to use hand crank phones.
In later years that house became our hunting/skiing/snowmobiling camp. Wish I'd bought it from my parents. That area is becoming pretty built up (proximity to Sunday River and Mt Abram ski areas, in Maine).

One of my father's favorite sayings: "Hindsight is always 20/20".

I'm so old, I was taught to say Yes Sir, No Sir, etc. when stopped by a police officer and regardless of why, I didn't argue my guilt or innocence on the side of the road but rather in the courtroom.

I'm so old, when we had guests coming over my parents would remind me, "children are to be seen and not heard."

I'm so old, seeing hunting rifles and/or shotguns in gun racks in back window of vehicles in the school parking lot was common, yet we didn't have school shootings or even have security officers in the school.
Sounds very similar to my upbringing.

It's even more fun doing that on the lift gate of a Lockheed C-130 flying at low altitude.
