Never Underestimate Us Older Folk

83 year old Phillip was just about ready for bed when his wife noticed he had left the light on in the garage.

Phillip headed out the back door to shut the light off but as helloked out, he saw three men breaking into his garage. He went back into the house and called the police and said, "get over here quick, there are three men breaking into my garage!"

The dispatcher asked, "is your garage detached from your house?"

Phillip replied, "yes it is but never mind that, these SOBs are stealing from me!".

The dispatcher said, "go back into your house. All aptrols are busy right now but one shoild be by soon." Phillip replied, "okay." He then hung up the phone and counted to 30. He called the police bacak and said, "hi, I called you a few seconds ago because people were stealing stuff from my garage. Well, you won't have to worry about them anymore, cuz I just shot them" and he hung up.

Within five minutes, six police cars, a SWAT Team, a helicopter, a paramedic unit and an ambulance showed up athe the old man's residence and caught the burglars red-handed.

One officer said, "I thought you said you shot them?

Phillip replied, "I thought you said no one was available?"

When I still qualified as a “young buck” I worked with a “more experienced” gentleman who was fond of saying, “youth and enthusiasm is no match for experience and treachery”.
