I expect to be in Banff around the 18th or 19th. I just may look you up. I don't think I will need reservations that early. Looks like Banff has a lot of campgrounds and I am set up for dry camping or boondocking. From your signature it looks like you are too. Your name is Sean? My RV has a picture of Mt Hood on the back so I am easy to recognize. That goes for any one on the forum. I would like to see you all across the campfire. One at a time , that is.....

That is the Canadian long weekend so I expect it to be busy.. No reservations at Kicking Horse Campground witch is 4 KM (2.5 miles) east of Field BC. There are no hookups there but it does have flush toilets and hot showers there. Also there is a dump station on the approach road.

Ok, I found Field on Hiway one, where we will be coming in, but can find no info on Kicking horse CG, I did find Kicking horse Pass. How far are you from Banff, or would it be a good idea to sit out the weekend and tour Banff on Monday or Tuesday?

Banff that weekend will probably be crazy.. Since Kicking horse CG is a national parks CG you probably wont find it listed except on their website.. but it is on the same road that goes up to Takakkaw falls

Monarch campground no longer exists.. it got flooded out last year and they decided not to reopen it due to costs.
