Yea this has been out there for a while. The scary part is that there really are people who do stuff like this.

Hey, those log chains on the tailgate make it safe, right?

Unhappy

Proof positive: There is no shortage of idiots on our planet.

Along the same line of thinking: The sign at the railroad crossing states "DO NOT STOP ON THE TRACKS" The scary part about that is we are driving on the same roads as are the people who actually NEED that sign

It would have been better to mount the receiver on the roof, but that would affect the resale value.

See it all the time. Bet he "doesn't even know it's back there" lol. Actually surprised the tailgate didn't collapse but some people skimp on a tow vehicle and splurge on a big camper all the time... I love seeing the small trucks pull in big fifth wheels at the campgrounds....

Check the pix again. It's the turned down 4X4 into the bumper hitch that stabilizes the tailgate.

Engineers..... Sheesh!

The wood enhances the look of the masterpiece and adds a bit of warming and charm to the entire scene.

Wonder if he checked his GVW and so on...

A bit different field, but similar stuff. I stopped a nice big tandem diesel farm grain truck for blowing a stop sign. He was pulling a big single axle grain truck, a Ford 800 gas job on a tow bar. When I got up to the front of the 800, I was horrified to see that the tow bar was made from 1" square tubing and was pinned to the bumper of the towed truck with two pins that were not as big as my little finger. Even worse, I reached down and pulled one of the skinny little cotter pins out of a pin my my fingers.

Believe it or not, the guy was loading both trucks with grain and hauling about 75 miles down a busy highway! Unbelievable!
