2019 IMSA season

This is the 50th annaversy season for IMSA International Motor Sports Association. NASCAR bought IMSA last year.
I like sports car racing and the road course venues of this racing series.
I spent last season (6 of 12 events) tent camping out of my 2014 Stingray.
Lots of fun. For this 66 year old , tent camping was a realization that I’m not 20 anymore and zero dark thirty port-a-potty safaris require better night vision.....
I bought the Jayco Octane 222 to follow the 2019 season with a much higher comfort level along with expansive “trunk” space.
I put my street legal 4 pax cart in the back and plan on cruising around the wonderful IMSA venues this 2019 season. There’s something about the 3 classes of cars racing together at the same time (LMP,GTLM,GTD) that I find unique to this series.
I’m heading down to the Rolex 24hr at Daytona next week. Then 12hrs at Sebring in March. Mid-Ohio in May.
I’m curious if there are many or any IMSA fans on this great forum.

Sorry I didn't see this post until now. I'm not a Sports Car Racing fan necessarily, but I do enjoy the 24 Hours at Daytona. Can't wait till next weekend. I get very excited for it to come around as the first race to watch after the long winter.

Tell me more about IMSA.

Yea, I watched some of the coverage on Sunday. It was quite crazy when they tried a few attempts at green flag racing in the morning.
