We stay at the Family campground section B right along the drainage ditch. Will leave Easter Sunday and arrive Monday around noon.

That was a great article. I liked his writing style, too. He captured Bristol's atmosphere for sure. More articles like that can't hurt. Thanks for posting.

It was a great article. But, just above where it says by Tim Struby, there is a line in small print that reads "Sponsored Content". So, it's an Op Ed sponsored either by Bristol, NASCAR, or someone associated with the sport. Again, not a bad article at all. But there is some financial backing there by an interested party.

Goodyear strikes again.
I wish Goodyear made those tires in a size that fits my coach. I'd put them on in a heartbeat!

I fear the 1-2 car frt train this weekend. All this talk about the unknowns the drivers may lay back until they can figure out the car. They always say practice helps but until they're racin they never know.
An if they go tandem all race long I may be into the beer earlier than normal.

Where are we with the rules package this weekend? I know it's different than Daytona but I can't remember the specifics?

Didn’t NASCAR say they were not running restrictor plates at Talladega this year?

It's a restrictor plate they just call it a tapered spacer. Instead of the holes being flat drilled holes the holes are tapered downward. Still a restrictor plate, just a play on words.
Spoilers are higher to hopefully slow the cars down because they have 100 extra horsepower. The taller spoiler will what they believe punch a much larger hole in the air making the closing rate much faster hence all the comments on the possibility of tandem racing

Teams will use the 2019 rules package with new tweaks specifically tailored for superspeedway racing at Talladega. The package includes a 0.922-inch tapered spacer (replacing the restrictor plate), 9-inch rear spoiler, 1-inch bolt-on track bar mount (raising the rear of the car by an inch), a tapered radiator pan, two-inch splitter overhang and aero ducts.

Cup Series teams also will participate with a new left-side tire compound for the Goodyear Eagle superspeedway radial, a construction update that makes its debut this weekend. The update was recommended after the two-day test at Daytona in February. Teams will be provided with two sets of tires for practice, one set for qualifying and seven sets for Sunday’s race — six race sets plus one set transferred from qualifying or practice.

Feel bad for Natalie. She couldn't buy a break if a billionaire gave her the money

Not able to watch the ARCA race. The kids asked to go to one of our local Italian restaurants. Walked in and we're told 20 min wait. An hour and a half later we finally got seated. It better be darn good. I've never waited this long for a resturant.
