Let's see if the 48 can make it through this one without wrecking the field again. So happy he is hanging it up after this year.

It's going to take a while for me to remember that he is in the #47 and not the #17. They did come prepared this weekend for qualifying. I think that the new nose and tail on the Chevrolet bodies will probably help this year for the entire camp.

This has to be just about the worst race I've seen in a long time.

I think Roger Penske should send Joe Gibbs a bill for his torn up race cars...

Or, he could teach Joey how to block correctly.

Well. That was an eventful way to begin the season. Wonder what the Twins will bring since half the field hasn't been on the track yet in race/draft conditions. We obviously know what blocking can cause see if the rest learned anything from today.

Seems like Kyle almost wrecked his teammate Denny with same move in the first practice session.

Just read an article an Brad ain't too happy with his teammate over his blocking. Funny cause I see him go from the wall to the yellow an back blocking. They all get mad when they are the victim of what they do all the time. It's just racing. Kudos for the drivers tryin to win

Old Newman had a shot if the engine wouldn't have let go on the last lap. He's going to end up in victory lane again one of these days.

If it will be like today, it will bring job security for the fabricators, rebuilding cars.

Looks like Jeff Gordon agreed with Brad, too.

Speaking of the new car, are they going to run any races toward the end of the year with it? If my memory is correct, they phased in the COT platform that way.
